Cutting Equipment
Compare Lincoln Electric plasma cutters by your cutting task, available power, gas supply and required package. Look beyond maximum amperage: recommended cutting, maximum cutting and severance ratings describe different operating conditions.

Read cutting ratings with their conditions
Use the exact model's material, thickness and travel-speed information when comparing performance. A severance rating is not the same as a recommended production-cut rating, and a mild-steel rating does not establish the same performance on every metal.
The existing FlexCut 65 versus 125 guide compares the two models and their package types. Check the individual product specifications and documentation before deciding.
Check the machine, torch and site requirements together
| Compare | What to check |
|---|---|
| Input power | Confirm voltage, phase, circuit requirements and the output conditions supported by that supply. |
| Gas supply | Check the exact model's gas type, pressure, flow and supply requirements. |
| Cutting performance | Distinguish recommended cut, maximum cut and severance; keep the stated material and speed conditions. |
| Torch and package | Confirm handheld, mechanized or power-source-only configuration; package contents differ. |
| Consumables | Match the documented torch, current range and cutting mode to the correct parts. |
Compare FlexCut handheld packages
Review the FlexCut 65 K5825-H and FlexCut 125 K5828-H listings for exact package details. Their handheld configurations are distinct from mechanized assemblies and power-source-only versions; do not choose only by a family name.
Questions before you choose
Is maximum severance the recommended cutting thickness?
No. They are separate ratings. Compare the stated material, thickness and speed for each cutting condition in the exact model's specifications.
Does every plasma cutter have a built-in compressor?
Check the exact model and package. Do not assume a compressor is included; confirm the documented gas supply and any external equipment required.
Is a handheld package the same as a mechanized package?
No. Confirm the manufacturer product number and included torch. Mechanized use requires the documented compatible torch and equipment for that configuration.
How do I find compatible plasma consumables?
Identify the exact machine and torch, then check the manufacturer's parts information for the cutting mode and current range. Similar-looking consumables are not evidence of compatibility.
